File Preparation & Artwork Guidelines

Properly prepared artwork helps us produce clean, sharp, and accurate prints. Please review these requirements before uploading files to Pressed Designz Customs LLC.

Recommended File Formats

For the best printing results, submit your artwork in one of the following formats:

  • PNG with a transparent background
  • SVG
  • PDF
  • EPS
  • AI
  • PSD

PNG is recommended for print-ready raster artwork. Vector formats such as SVG, EPS, AI, and properly prepared PDFs are preferred for logos, lettering, and designs that may need to be resized.

Do not submit screenshots, social-media downloads, thumbnails, or heavily compressed images.

Image Quality and Resolution

Artwork should be:

  • At least 300 DPI at the intended print size
  • Clear, sharp, and free from pixelation
  • Saved at the exact dimensions needed for printing
  • Free from unwanted backgrounds, borders, or stray pixels
  • Properly cropped with adequate space around the complete design

Increasing the resolution of a low-quality file does not restore missing image detail. Files that appear blurry or pixelated on screen may also print that way.

Transparent Backgrounds

Submit artwork with a transparent background whenever the background is not intended to be printed.

A white background is not the same as a transparent background. If a white box appears behind your design, it may be included in the finished print.

Background-removal or artwork-cleanup fees may apply when a submitted file is not print-ready.

Artwork Size

Create and upload your design at the final size you want printed. Resizing small artwork to a much larger size may reduce its quality.

Before submitting, confirm:

  • Final width and height
  • Design orientation
  • Spelling and punctuation
  • Names, dates, and numbers
  • Image placement
  • Required quantity

Pressed Designz Customs LLC is not responsible for errors contained in customer-submitted or customer-approved artwork.

DTF Transfer Artwork

For DTF transfers:

  • Use a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background.
  • Submit the design at the intended print size.
  • Remove all unwanted background areas.
  • Avoid extremely thin lines and very small details that may not transfer cleanly.
  • Do not mirror the artwork unless specifically instructed.
  • Include only the artwork you want printed.

Colors displayed on a monitor may differ slightly from the finished transfer because screens and printers reproduce color differently.

DTF Gang Sheets

Gang sheets must match the dimensions selected when ordering.

Before uploading your gang sheet:

  • Confirm that every design fits within the selected canvas.
  • Keep all artwork inside the printable area.
  • Do not allow designs to overlap.
  • Leave enough space between designs for cutting.
  • Remove unused backgrounds and hidden objects.
  • Verify that every design is correctly sized.
  • Export the completed gang sheet as one high-resolution file.

Pressed Designz Customs LLC will print customer-supplied gang sheets as submitted. We are not responsible for incorrect sizing, placement, spacing, duplication, or low-resolution artwork in an approved file.

Sublimation Artwork

For sublimation products and transfers:

  • Use high-resolution artwork with clean edges.
  • Submit the file at the required finished size.
  • Remember that sublimation does not print white ink.
  • Colors may appear different before pressing and become more vibrant after proper application.
  • The final appearance can vary based on the substrate, material, coating, heat press, temperature, pressure, and pressing time.

Sublimation generally produces the best color results on white or light-colored, polyester-compatible materials or specially coated products.

Fonts and Text

If submitting an editable vector or design file, convert text to outlines or curves before uploading. This prevents missing fonts or unintended font substitutions.

Review all spelling, capitalization, names, dates, and contact information carefully.

Color Disclaimer

We make every reasonable effort to produce accurate colors; however, exact color matching is not guaranteed unless specifically arranged before production.

Colors may vary due to:

  • Screen brightness and display settings
  • RGB-to-print color conversion
  • Printer and ink variations
  • Product material or surface
  • Heat, pressure, and application conditions

Artwork Proofs and Approval

A digital proof may be provided when approval is required. Proofs are intended to confirm layout, spelling, sizing, and placement.

Production begins after approval. Once a proof has been approved and production has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Copyright and Trademark Responsibility

Customers must have permission to reproduce all submitted artwork, photographs, logos, characters, trademarks, and other protected material.

By submitting a file, the customer confirms that they own the artwork or have authorization to use and reproduce it. Pressed Designz Customs LLC reserves the right to refuse any order that may violate copyright or trademark laws.
